Nobody will finance that amount
I dunno if I will fully agree with that. As mentioned in this thread leasing (even properly high end machinery) is majorly big in the US & Euroland in particular.

WRT to SA that might be slightly different at this level.

This is not a car that will be bought by or financed by the general public. This is a niche car aiming at a very small collectors market. They know, in a country like SA, chances are good that they will not sell a single vehicle. But, even if they do, they will be lucky if they ever sold more than 2 locally.

The difference is that the interest rates and inflation until now have been ridiculously low in the USA and 1st world Europe so you can't really compare.

In the USA you can buy a house for almost double the price of a house in South Africa and pay the same bond repayment monthly. The latest interest rates hikes have changed that a bit that but not much.

Bullshit. It's not a limited edition car and it's not even particularly expensive versus some of the stuff on South African roads. They'll sell a few.

Agreed & I'm aware. Was just making mention of leasing being a preferential option in those markets, WRT the context of SA the story at this level is likely different.

Do you live in SA? This is no collectors piece and they will sell quite a few, I predict 3-6 vehicles per month.
