How often do you reformat?

Used to be regularly with older versions, but what about Win 10?

Doesn't seem super necessary with Win10...but thinking it might be time after what 2 years or so...

Also, never. Last time I did that was for my prior PC build, which was 2009.

My PC has been running Windows 7 since the day I built it in December 2013. When you don't install crap on 7, it can run forever :whistling:

I was on 4 years on Win7 and had to reinstall after a big issue, now on another 2 years on Win7 reinstall still.

Even on XP I went years between reinstalls.

This isn't Win98 where it was basically the thing to do to reinstall every 6 months.

Every two weeks I grab my cloned HDD and start from scratch (recent steam backup is the only thing that get's carried across)

Used to do it every 6 months or so, but since I cloned to an SSD, I have not in the last 3 years. Absolutely no need to.

EDIT: Terminology fail

With an SSD it is no longer needed, but good practice, every 2yrs now.
