I've got a 2010 Honda Civic hatch, I've managed to find everything I've needed (standard service parts, tie rod ends, stabiliser links, brake discs and pads, and Monroe shocks) at either Naskar Silverton and Menlyn, and ProdigyH www.prodigyh.co.za

Everything has been reasonably priced, and I've got a decent indie mechanic up the road installing everything. Just did the front brake discs and pads with Ferodo replacements for R1600 last week.
Nobody stocks Honda handbrake pads except the dealers.

Lemme rephrase. Nobody in SA stocks Honda handbrake shoes except Honda. I just had them rebonbed. Cost me like R1,352 to fix the mess the dealers made, but at least I've got new shoes, the drums are skimmed and straightened (something the dealer messed up as well), the handbrake lever now pulls up correctly and it's biting like never before.

All the dealers did after I told them 4 times there were issues with the handbrake was "turn it up tighter". Eventually they turned it up so far the shoes dragged on the drums the whole way as I was driving, and the result was worn shoes, steel on steel, in a few thousands kms. They refused to accept responsibility for it and quoted me insane amounts to fix it.

I'll be honest, I love Honda, but their dealerships closing down is not a good thing. Service centres are closing and the best ones around me are gone. The one that remains I wouldn't touch with someone else's pole, so I've resorted to doing things privately.

I won't buy a Honda in SA again.

What's "very good"?
Difficult to say. I don't drive much working from home.
When I compare it to my polo 1.9tdi I feel I get quite a few more KMs for my Buck.
Used to cost 700ish to fill my Polo and It costs me Roughly 450 to fill my Honda.
I get roughly same Kms or at least it seems that way.
I don't track these things.

Car Make and Model : Jaguar X-Type 2.2D
Age : 13 Years (2007)
Mileage : 228 000 km
Plans : Drive it until it falls apart. Averaging between 6 and 6.5 L/100km in mixed driving, and the drivetrain has been very reliable, so no reason to change.
