How quickly can Cool Ideas activate my line.

It's literally ridiculous from Vumatel. They could learn a thing or two. I know how stuff can go in IT. But this is unacceptable such a easy thing and now they need to send a technician just to change a Object Number for whatever reason. Probs going to wait a week for that to happen.

If you want pain, try changing ISPs on Openserve.

But yes, that swedish blonde bombshell system using DHCP on vuma is a close second....

The easiest network when it comes to migrations.

The only operator that allows you to have multiple lines on the same ont from different ISPs and dial pppoe details from any ISPs even if the line does not belong to them.

The only operator that keeps a B number active in the holding pool for 2 weeks while no one pays line rental for it.

They are the best FNO in SA.

This week, I am managing with the team,

Team is checking and managing for me, Itumeleng on it, started a few days back.
Will you quote the support ref for me?

Day 2: Still awaiting on Vumatel to move forward for line activation

Pushing this for you.

Update: Feedback I have is that it will be done this evening, Vumatel unfortunately cant confirm a time.

We have these issues every month which we have escalated to executive level.

I take it that hopefully today, 3 February 2021, the line will be migrated over to Cool ideas and i can activate the package on my side and I'll have internet?

Is your service finally up and running?

Good day. Yes i am up and running, thank you very much for your assistance getting me setup. I have just sent a email to Support as my speeds don't exceed 250Mbps.

Are you moving to us from a 1Gbps service via your existing ISP or is the 1Gbps a new thing?

My previous ISP i was on a 200Mbps. So moved to Cool Ideas for 1000Mbps. So it's a new thing.

Ok so probably more device vs line, which router are you using? And I presume you are testing over cable?

Just my PC is on the network. Using a CAT 6 Cable. Router is a TP-Link Deco M4

Check QoS settings and any limits on your router, and then nic driver update as well.

QoS is set to 1000mbps, drivers are up to date. When connecting directly to the ONT box to my PC i get around 500Mbps.

Yeah so something on the router limits to 250Mbps clearly.

And your PC doesn't manage anything beyond 500Mbps.

Out of interest try an international speedtest direct to the CPE/ONT?

After Reseting my Router, which I probably had to do in the first place, i get this.

National: 712Mbps - Download
International: 680Mbps Download

Think my Routers QoS or something bugged out.
