How quickly can Cool Ideas activate my line.

I have the same problem. Bought a house, Vumatel line already in use

Precious owners isp cancelled the connection today and released the line.

Tried to sign up with cool ideas again, who I've been with for almost 5 years.

Now I am told that the connection team will need to get hold of me in due course.

Apparently I may not call them. So wait until some indefinite time in the future

Is there anyway this can be expedited?

Unfortunately it is a process with Vumatel, things have changed over the years and there are now a lot more of their layers involved. But seeing what I can do to assist.

moved to Cool Ideas from WebAfrica. Internet up and running today but haven't had a connection since Tuesday last week.

Ridiculous how long this process takes.

Now I'm being told they need to send someone out to reprovision an obj number.

How van things be this complicated

FNOs are a force by themselves. Vuma is the special one. Never in my life have I ever seen a company give two less of a f*** than that bunch. They are literally the monopoly we used to dread in Telkom.

This was Frogfoot, but it seems they're all similar.

I tried talking directly to Frogfoot to ask for updates on when they will activate the line. They tell me to talk to my ISP they don't communicate directly with customers. Not impressed.

It took Webafrica 2 days to "release" the line. It took Frogfoot 2 days to activate the line. Took Cool Ideas only a few minutes to get me my details and get it running.

These FNOs really make the whole process more painful than it needs to be. This should take minutes, maybe hours, not days or even weeks.

Kudos to Cool Ideas on making it as fast and painless as they could.

Good morning @PBCool,
There's currently ping pong going on. Octotel confirmed line is active when they were here for installation (docs attached on ticket), Cool Ideas rep saying line not active, so I don't really know which way from here?

@PBCool been waiting for 3 weeks for vumatel line, can you assist? #COOL-20240513-1760589

@PBCool Is this related to the above? I've been waiting for 10 days to get a Vumatel line activation. #COOL-20240528-1779363

Hi @ssky , thank you for reaching out, apologies for the delay.
I have escalated internally to the relevant team involved. Your patience is much appreciated.

Vumatel recently switched systems and it's been a complete nightmare. They have a large backlog, ISP A releases a line, ISP B can't activate a service etc.
