A degree in flinging poo is still a good few years off.. gotta give the decolonized science some time to develop the new rules.

This is a real crisis that is heading the world's way and we are so not prepared for it. People are so resistant to instituting some of the basic ideas that will mitigate the crisis and prevent large scale riots as large portions of the population become unemployable such a universal basic income. This is going to be even worse than the industrial revolution if we don't wake up and prepare and implement some steps to mitigate it.

A true entrepreneur would invent a machine to do the flinging - maybe we can decolonise the trebuchet and repurpose it for faeces?

The closing down of nearly all the technical schools was a huge mistake IMO. Regardless of the shift to more technological careers, you still need people to build houses, do carpentry, be plumbers and electricians etc. Those jobs will never go away. And if you have tried to hire any of them recently you will know how badly trained and lacking in knowledge most of them are these days.

Exactly, The biggest problem is that young people see life in a hollywood sitcom or movie haze and think that everyone has to be a CEO or live off a trust fund. Jobs that are not office related are just not good enough. Take a car dealership for example, the structure is so top heavy it is scary, 10's of people shuffling papers around in nice clothes looking important, with one guy in parts and two mechanics in the back generating the income.
Upside down pyramid?

Prepare people for job's that are around today properly and they will evolve into the job's of the future.
