Earlier today I posted the topic regarding the bulletin board on Sentech site. Later I posted a message on how to get to the log in screen and to see who posted what messages. Guess what? It is gone

Any variation of my login does not allow me in... I get the feeling I've been blocked for some reason. What format do you use to sign in?

I dont think Sentech allows any logins at the moment. They will get so many bad postings

Do you honestly think they are going to be able to intergrate our "INFRANET" usernames and passwords into this PHP app that they have downloaded for FREE and get that all working????

LMAO @ them for using FREE OPEN SOURCE software on the website......can just imagine the marketing meeting about the website

Lets see, it says on their forum that you are not allowed to download alot and upload alot... in short.... or they will cancel your service, and they we can cancel the payment, and get ADSL [:)] sounds like its another way they are trying to keep us happy [:D]

But seriously, as for the english lesson on "unlimited" and sentechs "sole descression" on vaguely stipulated definition on what is abuse in quantitive measures, when were anyone notified about the noticeboard? how were we notified, did we get our special sentech email?

I am STILL fairly positive about sentech type service that is possible, but firstly, , to the people at sentech, stop treating your customers like idiots when you dont understand what your technical guys are BSing you with. Dont threaten your customers. Dont blame your customers for your mistakes. And lastly, 128 service is apparently from what i understand not really 128K, its just a package name that roughly estimates the speeds you should get (according to one of the techs i spoke to, how about stating that). And lastly, why not give an option to people who want to pull out of their contract because you (sentech folks) are getting alot more bad publicity from people that are unhappy than people who are quiet and happy, and some times the happy people are just happy to be connected because they dont have any expectations, not that they should have any, because , as you guessed it, no one is making any promises that you will get a good service. If I ever get refunded, then maybe i want my money back for the antenna I bought to get signal where they site map SAID i would get signal

Here it states that 6 % is hogging 50% of the network resources.
but somewherre else i read that 5% of the customer base are having problems. Soooo, how does that add up, does that mean that 11 % of the people in total are using the service properly either to complain or to abuse, and the rest could not give a damn, or does that mean that 90% of the people are getting good service and the 6% "alegded" abuse is just a drop in the ocean and can be rectified... sorry, mixed signals, either 95% of the people are happy, ro 94% of the people are NOT happy. Carefull, because saying 95% of the people are happy is normal, saying 94% of the people is unhappy means that someone was lying about the 5% unhappy people.

Basically. It brings me back to the thing of abuse.. I think the only thing getting abused here is the customer base. Give the people an option in the contract to ditch the service. If you are so confident that people are happy, then surely you dont have anything to lose by the "aledged" 5% of the people who are giving you bad publicity because they are unhappy.

Personally, I am one of the bunch of people who could not give a ****, but tell me I am abusing something stated as unlimited. I will have a problem.
Hell, you havent mentioned that we may not use MSN to sent files to each other, i was sending a 10 megger to friends the other night, and the night before, I as receiving a home movie from a friend. Guess thats all legal then.... or would we like to change our statement to cover that one too. Step 1, make up mind about the BS, Step 2, stick to the BS story at least. Step 3, Dont piss people off who know more than you own people do. Step 5, Think of step 4.

I am not unhappy with the service, i am unhappy with people bull****ting and playing the spindoctor to make as if they are actually the victems.

I had a long conversation with Casper Cassidy (Sentech Customer Service Dept.)today, and he brought up the 5% figure. He claimed that only 5% of users are having problems with speed.

"Each time I log into Sentech, there is a new connection with a new IP address, right?"
"Yes"
"So therefore, based on your 5% figure, there should be a 95% chance that I receive high speed, right?"
"Um..."
"But I don't...ever. And a lot of other users don't either. Does your bandwidth allocation system discriminate based on user name? That is the only way that I can believe that it is only 5%, else I would have received high speed at least MOST of the time."
"Ummm, well anyway we are working on a solution and it will be completed by end August......"
