Beginning to think the old people that always say: "things where better under apartheid" aren't always wrong.

How can you mess up a company that already had the infrastructure, and a monopoly. All they had to do was carry on with a winning recipe.

Easy, you tell them that they should focus on transformation, equality and employing as many people as the unions tell them to instead of providing electricity.

The ANC government never broke Eskom. They radically transformed it into a debt-ridden failed entity. The economic transformation was so thorough at Eskom that today's utility now threatens to sink the nation's economy completely while also qualifying as a critically severe risk to national stability.

Rather than waste time addressing Eskom's core issues, the same ANC government has decided it will instead focus on bringing the same level of Radical Economic Transformation to the property market, food security and lending institutions.

In a few years we will be able to post infographics on the transformation from buoyant property and agricultural sectors to the economically transformed property and agricultural sectors. It does not take a rocket scientist to predict that those infographics will not be pretty.
