Lol yeah no Revit doesn't run on the Mac. No architect is going to be using a Mac.

As a bona fide Apple hater who is stuck using one of their garbage products on a garbage OS, they have done something quite special with the M1 and M2 CPUs. You can run Windows 11 on that computer via the software translation layer they have, and it will run very well and get better battery life performance than most Windows laptops.

For my software stack, I would very happily put up with the razorbladed d!ldo that is Apple hardware and software design to have that sort of battery life. And that is only because of the acid-coated d!ldo that is Eskom.

Giving macs credit on the rendering capabilities is truly disingenuous.

A custom built rig for half the price performs just as well with rendering if not better.

A custom built laptop, because they stressed portability. ;)

Half the price. And a cheaper laptop on the road if needed imo.

Apple really doesn’t compare with 3d imo. I don’t even think the industry standard 3ds max is available on osx.

Hell if you want a real time ray trace rendering machine there’s no way that little mac won’t turn into a oven.

A rig that weighs 2kgs and can run a 8 hour work day on a single charge?

Architecture CAD software isn't the same as 3D Moddeling software, but I agree with you that macOS has a ways to go before they're anywhere close to what people can do with Windows machines and 3D stuff.

As you pointed out - it's right at the top of the article. Besides, from the looks of it the BT posting bot doesn't use tags.
