How to access internal network connected to WISP?

I have a WISP connection at home and looking for a way to access my network from outside. A VPN would be ideal. The problem with most WISP's is that you're on their network up to the point where you break out on the internet. So it's not like ADSL where I can use DYNDNS and do port forwarding from my router. Services like Teamviewer and Logmein works, but it then only gives me access to log into my pc. I'm looking for something where I can be on the same network from the device I'm using to access it.

For example, I have a couple of IP cameras at home, and it would work a lot better if I can access them directly, instead of having to log into my pc and accessing it from there.

Logmein has something that might work, Hamachi, but it's quite expensive.

Any other ideas?

Hi Roger.Wilco

Back in the day I used a WISP due to lack of ADSL speeds and had issues with WISP’s due to everybody using the same IP on the connected account. I had to maintain a number of servers by VPN at that time and used this software-based VPN solution, called Comodo EasyVPN to connect and due to trademark reasons by Cisco it is now called Comodo UNITE (http://www.comodo.com/home/email-security/vpn-access.php). Today I have stable ADSL connection and have all clients on CentraStage. I know that Comodo UNITE does not have free access to servers, but is excellent to host LAN’s with your friends over the internet and for IP-CCTV.

The public IP would seem to be the cheapest Logmein starts at over R200 per month. I had a look for some open source and other than VNC there does not seem to be much there and certainly most of the forums highlight using VNC to fix problems and then remove it whihc is not what you want to do with your IP Cameras.
Let us know what you finally decide to do.
