How do I calculate percentages?
Lets say I have an amount of 2032.90 and it increased to 2439.77 to calculate that percentage i take the increase amount minus the old amount divide it by the increased amount and times it by 100. 2439.77-2032.90÷2439.77x100 and it gives me 16.67%

If i want to reduce the increase by 4%, how do I calculate that?

Take the 2032.90 and multiply by 1.04

No.

Take 2032.90 and multiply by 1.1267 (12.67% is 4% less than 16.67%)

Also, initial post is wrong.
You want to divide the difference by the OLD amount to get the percent increase, not the new amount.

eg - from R200 to R220 = (220-200)/200 * 100 = 10%
R220 is a 10% increase on R200.

How do you get 1.1267? how do I get this amount for different percentages?

To increase something by 10%, you multiply it by 1.1
To increase by 15%, you multiply by 1.15

ps please read my edit to that post.
