Hi guys

I need your advice or assistance.
It was a year ago, when I was driving at night for some reason
I was in a sharp curve road I didn't notice it was so sharp until
I couldn't control the car amd it hit those arrow bords showing
a sharp curve.

It was damaged the whole of passenger side
its a Renault clio VI 2013 model

I did not claim because I was still new with the insurance I didn't want
to have bad name, so I took the car to back yard panel beating
the guy fixed the car but the most difficult part was
the paint the shiny red paint come out well.

is it possible to claim now after a year because the car side is not
the same as the original side.

and if I do qoutes the CK bodywork are charging 50k privately
and Alpha bodyworx 20k

is it possible to claim now :-(

and its damn expensive.

Please advise and it has to be a renault approved panelbeater

You can't claim now. Claim must be registered within 30 days iirc.

This is wrong on so many levels.

You messed up your car further by going to back yard guys.

You defrauded your insurance by hiding the incident from them as you have been paying premiums for the incorrect risk profile.

If you were to have an incident now and claim, your claim will probably be reject as they will see that one side of the car has been worked on and you have hidden that from them.

And if you had claimed originally you premium would have gone up like a year later and probably by less than R100pm.

Best option is to sell the car and get a new one. Please read your insurance clauses, they are there for a reason. You will risk getting a bad name from insurance if they catch your fraudulent claim and you might pay a high price for the rest of your life.

The best would be to attempt to do exactly the same at the same corner. That way you have fresh damage over the old damage and you will be able to claim from you insurer to get it repaired. Also, let the insurer know about this thread...

Not even maybe.
It would have escalated for inflation but since his insurance was new he lost a no claims bonus and he would not have been able to REDUCE the premium with a no claims discount.

Maybe take it a decent panel beater that will sand down the complete one side and repaint it properly this time.
If you are in the Pta side of the world I can give a number that does insurance claim work only.

lol then the panelbeater reports it to the insurance and they dont pay for either. good job.
