Hey guys, took my car to a car wash the weekend. Wash and wax. They did a decent job but they used the same sponge outside as in.
So they waxed my car then used that same sponge to wash the inside of my car, even my windscreen.

The result was me driving home thinking whatever this is will dry up.

It didn't - it actually got much worse. I had this thick layer of fuzz covering my windscreen. Tried wiping it with a t shirt, just smudged it around. Tried baby wipes, it pretty much just moved it around and the wipes left trails everywhere.

Then I tried isopropyl alcohol. This seems to have worked the best, but it's still not great. That **** is really on there. wtf do I do. scared of damaging my windows somehow.

Kind of annoying really since i gave the guy a R50 tip

Since it's wax based. I suggest you put in a wick and set it on fire.
Just an idea :)

I've had good success with a waterless glass cleaner, both inside and outside.

Maybe start with some 70% alcohol on a paper towel to get the haze off. Then Mr. Muscle glass cleaner.

Dunk a microfibre cloth in a bowl with warm water & ~teaspoon washing up liquid, ~cup of plain white vinegar.
Squeeze cloth out enough not to drip, wash. No rinse needed, just dry with scrunched up kitchen roll.

Worth a try, one go usually enough to sparkle any glass (even shifts crayon marks from mirrors).

This. You could also use meths mixed with water.
Whiskey or brandy also works.
