About some things, yes. Time will tell what the future holds but he is always doom and gloom all the time

I rate him fairly positive for a guy who was attacked with a panga. Most guys, including me, would've packed up and left if my family was attacked and my daughter almost go hurt, never mind myself getting hurt.

I'm interested in what things he is wrong about. I also only see doom and gloom so could do with some positives.
Isn't the one who predicted R20 to the $ two years ago? He's a bit of a prophet (well most economists are, but he's of the doom persuasion). He makes prophecies and goes about stoking the fires to make sure they're fulfilled.

Step 1: Vote in ANC election after election.
Step 2: ??
Step 3: Profit (aka destroy the country)

If you read his article you will see the gloom that is awaiting. So, becoming successful and profitable is not an option when it happens.

If you read between the lines, you will see he is addressing those who are currently still staying in South Africa.

He probably packed up and stacked his stuff overseas, as per his advice. I'm not referring specifically to him but some people stay because they can't make as much money overseas as they make here, and their quality of life will drop drastically.

The ANC currently has no other option but to collapse the economy. It can no longer be fixed. Unfortunately for them, they also found that this is not a fast and easy task to do. Nonetheless, they are on the right path.

All I can say is that each and every person who do not want to live in poverty and oppression should ensure that that they have a second passport or at least permanent residency elsewhere so that they can flee the day when this is needed. It is not expensive, just be sure that you have around R80k if you are single or around R130k for a family of any size. This will at least buy you permanent residency when needed and you will get most of it back when the residency is issued.
can you elaborate please?

What real influence can he actually have though? I mean, I don’t see him pocketing millions from dodgy tenders, destroying any SOEs, looting banks or running municipalities into the ground.

Surely that’s what has us on the path to implosion?

This is just an option for those who does not have the money or required qualifications to emigrate to first world countries. Other third world countries, like Panama, which is in much better state than SA, offers you permanent residency at these amounts. You simply need US$5,000 in a bank account (for a single applicant or US$8,000 for a family which include direct children and parents of both spouses) there when applying and can then use or withdraw the funds after application was submitted. You do not give the money to anyone else. Having a way out of SA when everything collapses is a necessity today.

We got the Zim 1.0 people in this 2008 thread. It is a bit tiring.

I know he is white and you have a problem with it. Racist much?
Wow, you bring up race, you make up a racist strawman and then ask if I'm racist? I never mentioned race at all. Go look in a mirror Mr Racist Much.

When he made this predication who was running the country? Did the situation change?
