$25k per month??!!?

Yes, and that is absolutely the minimum a family of 5 or 6, with children, would get by at in Panama City. Unless, your kids are fluent in Spanish and you can place them in a normal government school, then you can probably knock down US$2000-4000 per kid on that price.

Is this like the R24-80m you said one needs to settle in the US?

Is your history disputing the fact that, in the early 90's Mandela was out of prison and the ANC moved into the parliament?
Mandela being released had no bearing on how the country borrowed. He was released and negotiations began some time latter. FW de Klerk was president until early '94. So tell me, when did the ANC move into parly?

1. Is this what they teach you in South Africa?
2. CODESA started in Dec 1991. Since than ANC and NP co-governed SA.
The Apr. 1994 election was a mere rubber stamping, final world show.
3. I stand by my initial comment: You said "early '90s" I said "early '80s" - would have been a better comparison. In the early '90s South Africa was in political turmoil, with no party really in charge. They had other pressing things to fix. Economy was not the main focus. #LiveWithIt
4. It is time for me to STOP feeding the Trollie

BS. ANC were not running the country at the time. There was no power sharing arrangement in place.
