I recently bought a MyGica / Geniatech T230 USB TV tuner.

I installed the software it came with on Windows XP computer as it doesn't seem to work on Windows 10 even though I have the latest drivers from support team. My end goal is to run it in my Linux server but want to try get the basics working on Windows first.

Even though it says on the box that it can receive dvb-t2 free to view channels, it only seems to be picking up dvb-t channels which are encrypted. I got another unit from the supplier but that seems to be doing the same thing.

I do have dvb-t2 coverage as my other USB TV tuner, PCTV 292e, picks up SABC 1,2,3 and etv fine.

I'm busy installing a tv aerial booster to see if this will help with the overall signal.

My question is, how do I force the MyGica to dvb-t2 so that it can pick up those channels?

Is there something else that I can do to get this working before returning this?
