how to get futurehood when telkom doesn't believe I have access to LTE at all

I'm gonna assume the futurehood symbol in the center of the coverage is the tower, I'm about 700m from the end of the coverage area, and about 1.7km from that symbol, I'll drive there over the weekend to confirm if there is actually a tower at that specific point...

but with that said. 1.7km get's me 2 bars of signal without an outdoor antenna, just those 2 little standard antennas on an old B593, got 25Mbps during the initial testing for the 1st couple of days, yesterdays tests were between 14Mbps and 20Mbps, tested between 16:00 and 22:00, hope that helps

side note: I pick up LTE better than 3G, put it on 3G just out of curiosity and got 1 bar, and speeds between ranging between 2Mbps and 4Mbps

Whats the latency like? Ya testing in pick hours wil probably give you the worst results and those are still faster then any adsl for that price range.

I think your signal should improve with the external antenna?

1. I applied online.
2. Yep I dropped the pin on the nearest area covered by the deal to get the ticket number. Then I phoned them with the ticket number and applied with my real address.
3. Read above :p

one more question, which number do I phone with my newly acquired ticket number ?

there's trees and hills, and some warehouses, I'd call it semi-urban, it's a township

just a little update:So after 40 minutes on hold, I've given them my ticket number, and my real address, which the agent says she's going to pass to her team leader who's gonna pass it to someone to call me before 18:00 they say. she did mention after giving the address that they will be using it to verify if I am within an LTE coverage area or not... let's hope they don't really look

Let us know how it goes with the address? Very interested if they actually check.

I doubt they will call you anytime soon. In my opinion is it probably better if you call them first ?

I had called them on Friday afternoon before my last post on Friday, and they said they'd call back, I thought that was the last of the phone calls I needed to make... I will try and call them again later on today lunch time-ish.

So I've called our ISP back, and given them my ticket number again, this time they took down my banking details and delivery address as well as all the other questions they tend to ask for contracts etc, and have advised that I should be debited shortly and be receiving my goods within the next 5-7 working days.

wish me luck...

Did you need to submit your proof of residence for rica btw?

Also it seems like everyone said on the forums that your address is irrelevant as long as you can order online from the promo address you good.

I will only need to supply my proof of address when I take delivery for RICA purposes. btw still have not been debited yet
note: start giving them your correct address from the time you call them with your newly obtained ticket number

So they actually checked my coverage and said I'm not in the unlimited zone. What do I do now?

That what happened to me. They asked me for my coverage address and said it is not in the area. I will call again for better luck again today or tomorrow.

odd, they still haven't asked me about that yet... I got as far as being told that I'd be debited and receive my goods in 5-7 working days after the debit... I'm still waiting for that debit today btw

Quick question: Do you have to sign a 24 month contract for this?. Or can you go month to month?
