HOW TO GET SERVICE FROM TELKOM MOBILE?

Hi

If I signed up for a Telkom Mobile Internet 15GB Promo, month-to-month, simcard only package from Telkom in the Menlyn store, how do I get it activated?

They said on Saturday it will be active within 24hrs. It's still not active. I went back to the store and the consultant (Johan) said I should wait more.

I just phoned Telkom Mobile and they refer me back to the store. The store doesn't know.

Does anyone here know how to get service from Telkom??

Good grief I just want my simcard to be activated! I already have it but it's useless.


I actually moved to Telkom from Afrihost because they only give 2G coverage at my house in PTA (dont know why) - so I thought I'd get Telkom since their prepaid works perfectly fine, but now the contract (month-to-Month) sim doesn't get activated and no-one can help me!:mad::mad::twisted::twisted::crying::crying::confused::confused:

Have you gotten a message from RICA yet? If you have, go to the store and ask for the manager.
If nothing has happened till tomorrow, go the store anyways.

I went to the store and the consultant said my case was being attended to by someone (in the activation centre?) so he phoned them to enquire and the lady there responded by screaming at him because he was phoning. She said they have a backlog and the customer needs to wait. I had to leave.

That's where I am now. The store won't be able to help.

That's where I am now. The store won't be able to help.

Basically claim a refund for every day down, I think 7 days of no up-time is the month free, at least with DSL, not sure with mobile broadband. Good luck, hope you get it soon, not much you can do.

If it takes till the end of the week, call a manager within Telkom on Friday morning and have it escalated.
