But until that time comes , we can exploit the glitch ...free of charge

No we can't, we have to pay you R35 - You can exploit the glitch, and us.

And if someone requested it on the forum, I would gladly create a beginner's guide to an ADSL self-install, also including all the best ways I have found to deal with Telkom simply because I would rather help the struggling SA broadband community than exploit it.

And please, do tell us how you spent money on testing for this "glitch", I would love to know...

Did you order 50 Telkom installs to try various methods on them? Did you pay off a Telkom employee for the info? Did you hire a Private Investigator?

I am really interested to know...

Ok sure - I tested different methods on it until I got what I wanted - A quick installation without any extra cost. I only did about 10 installs to work it out.

Also - please note backup support is also part of the package...which is included in the price.

Omac - I know the're a lot of people who didnt want you to post that it worked....

I'll be honest - it only works 96% of the time , sometimes I cant help out , and when thats happened I have issued refunds.

Cheers!

With all due respect but...

An MD who has to ask on public forums about the legal aspect of his members' offerings...damn,that is scary.

This is morally wrong dude, why "investigate" your members in the open?

AFAIK this is the 2nd time i see such a post here.Do it the right way or don't do it at all.

You are still not seeing my main issue with this?

Try reading my post again, instead of just quoting it in your reply.

Sure...

Sure I see you're main issue. You think it is exploitation and immoral to sell this kind of information.

By the same token , it would be immoral for a grocery store to not hand out free food to the hungry.

The information is valuable , I worked to get it and therefore it can be sold.
Would you do your job for free?

Cheers!

No, it wouldn't. Food is a tangible, finite resource, unlike broadband or the speed of an installation. Also, the whole of South Africa is not going hungry, there is no national food-crisis. Your analogy doesn't work. Nice try, though.

Hmmm...

Broadband and the installation time are both finite items.

Broadband is limited by the amount of bandwidth a line can carry , and installation time is limited by the amount and speed of the technitions who carry the installations out.

Why do you think youre ADSL gets slower during the day?
Why do you think it takes months to get an ADSL line?

And no - there is no food crisis...Its an analogy , and is meant to be taken FIGURATIVLEY.

Common...work it out...:D

Cheers!

No need to be so condescending, its not appreciated. If you are unable to continue this discussion in a reasonable manner I see no reason to continue posting.

At the end of the day, you are still exploiting Telkom's hold over this market (I think i've used some form of the word "exploit" in every post I have made in this thread, it should be obvious by now), which, in essence, makes you just as bad as them because rather than fight the way they are treating us you decide you're going to make money off it.

Almost everyone who knows of Telkom's hellish reign of terror looks at the state of broadband and says: "How can we make this better?"

You look at it and say: "How can I make money out of this?"

I don't understand.

Ok...

No condesention meant.

Iburst , Mywireless , etc etc etc have all taken the stand of

" How can I make money out of this?"

But they are some hereos of the Broadband world here in SA , and I am suddenly a scumbag?
