How to isolate an audio segment in a movie?

ANyone know how to go about doing this.

Basically I've got an old movie, but there's a saying one of the guys say that i want to retrieve ( or some how get it from the movie ) into an mp3 format to use as my sms alert.

If it's in analog format first convert to digital.
Once in digital format use a video editing suite to cut out the part you want and rip the audio.
