Hi guys

As the title says I want to know if it is possible for me to keep the original time stamp when moving files from my onboard memory to my sd card.

The files on question are pictures and videos which are taking up a lot of space on my onboard memory.

I tried just copying and pasting but it changed the time stamp to the time and date to the date it was copied.

I am currently using a Sony Xperia Z5 with android 7.0 which is not rooted.

So is there anyway to do it?

Any help will be appreciated.

Yeah afaik the folder date will change, but the create date of the files in the folder will remain as per their original date.

Would also love to know how to keep the actual folder dates the same though.

Or just set the camera to save pic's and videos to the sd card rather than the phone memory.

The videos and pictures in question are from Whatsapp. And I don't think you can change the default storage for Whatsapp
