I would find it extremely odd to be romantically involved with a very devout person.

Very devout would be someone who goes as far as actually going to church regularly.

That is so very weird.

I stay way from women romantically if they are religious. I do my best to stay away from any conversation involving religion as it is just all downhill if opinions differ so to get into that with someone you fancy is just not what I want to do.

Dont waste time on a chick that cant accept an atheist. She is not worth it. Personally I avoid the very religious chicks. Theyre normally cooked.

I would believe that non religious people have longer lasting relationships. If I had to run to church or pray to Jesus everytime I had a fight with my GF then I can imagine how that will go down the wrong road.

As for "getting started on family", would that be her religious family putting pressure as well? That is something else I thought about. If you date someone who is staunchly religious chances are her folks will be too, and then you may have them passing judgement too, pressuring your lady and just being knobish to you. ''Oh, why don't you date Johnny imstead of Billy? Johnny also goes to church".
