Unlike all the corruption supporters on this thread, my wife is a law abiding citizen and pays the tv license.
You can't even buy take-aways for the family for the price of the license.
We don't really buy tv's often, but when we need a new one there is no hassles, also helped many friends and domestic etc. to buy. All for 200 bucks a year. Buy a monitor? Yeah right, at what extra cost?
You would probably get 10 years + tv license for the saving you get in buying a tv vs monitor
Your and whoever lends you a tv license, petrol money and time wasted, would buy you a tv license for a few years.

We need people like your wife, that is how most of us buy tv's, by using someone else's ID number. I used my exes aunties ID number to buy my tv. No ways am i getting my own licence. I will bookmark this post because i might just need your wifes ID number to get my next TV.

In 2018 I bought a TV on Takealot. They delivered it to my office when I was out. I still don't have a TV license. I am glad you are paying yours simply to make buying another TV easier

Do you honestly think people do not pay TV licenses because.....it's too expensive??

Your head must really be hurting from hitting it against that rock you live under.

I'm saying its little money to save you a lot of hassle.

When I have the option to pay for something that's not robbing me sure.
I choose to protest with my money. Oh I know it has no effect.... oh wait actually it does... some serious repercussions because of it. Now their corruption is a problem because it's all the money they have left.

There's no effort in not having a TV.
Because I don't watch TV, I use my PC for entertainment. I would never buy a TV screen, the refresh latency is just way too low. I stopped that way before I stopped my TV license.

The only effort of not paying my TV license is that I receive an sms about it every couple of years.

I'm glad you pay for it. Those people and SANC still wanna have a big year end party.
Good on You!

No man you're trying very hard now. It's no hassle. It's not like I buy a TV every year.

Do I think my tv license money is wasted? Yes.
I also don't agree with tax on booze, tobacco or sugar. Thats not going to stop me buying any of them. It's not worth it.
Same with the tv license. Not worth the effort for that little money.
So have you stopped drinking, smoking and using sugar, or are you also paying for the big year end parties?

This is like people boycotting Spur/Dischem, I bet you 90% of the other shops they buy from have the same policies, it just did not become public.

Jissis man, feel free to enjoy your TV license, ok? Good for you

Edit: I have a choice. I choose to buy booze and pay the unavoidable tax. I choose not to pay TV license. Not the same.

LOL, I choose to buy a tv license because if I see a tv on great special any time of the year that I know will last 5min before it is sold out, then I can buy it. No worries, 200 bucks is not worth the hassle.

How to pay your TV licence to buy Black Friday deals

With Black Friday around the corner, many South Africans may want to take the opportunity to buy a new TV at a discounted rate. However, they must pay their TV licences up to date beforehand.

While the South African Broadcasting Service's (SABC) PayNow system is offline, there are still several ways to pay for your TV licence.
So how much did the SABC pay you for this article..? Or was the MyBB staff all given free TV licence for a year..??
