8.ta signal on the area I am is not picking up well,so there was a day when the 8.ta sim picked up mtn signal on the modem, then signal was browsing proper and when it goes to the 8.ta signal the connection is not proper, Now the 8.ta sim card on the modem I am using is not picking up the MTN.SA signal. How do I make it use this signal permanently, I am using mdma with vodafone modem. I want the 8.ta sim to use the mtn signal when I use it, what's the procedure on doing these, I am on prepaid sim.

Loading all network data bundles on 8.ta sim, how is that done, this woul'd not happen as the bundles only work on a different sim, What are you saying, Coul'd you explain how to do this So that mtn signal woul'd be used on 8.ta network all the time when using the 3g modem?

There are two different types of bundles, Telkom mobile only or all networks, make sure you buy the all networks one.

How is the bundle purchased,is it sold on prepaid, when It's bought and loaded will the 8.ta sim permanently use mtn signal on the 3gmodem automatically and If the bundle is finished it goes back at 8.ta network

To clarify, you want it to do this:
1. Connect to MTN network instead of Telkom
2. Use a All-networks bundle on MTN, buying it from Telkom
3. After finishing the bundle, connect back to Telkom

My question is, why not just buy bundles directly from MTN? Just put in a MTN sim card in your 3G modem and put the Telkom one back in when you want to use that?

Are you saying All-networks bundle can be bought using mtn prepaid sim, then after it's bought take the bundle number code, and use it on 8.ta then after that the mtn network will pick up on 8.ta? Also the all-networks bundle allows mtn network to be used on 8.ta sim and it's permanent? Also only the mtn network is the only one that can pick up?

What you are writing makes my head spin. What I wrote is what I gathered from what you wrote, see that I wrote "clarify".
Okay, no you cannot load an all networks bundle on MTN, has to be telkom. I am suggesting that you just use an MTN sim in the 3G device with an MTN bundle loaded on it.

I am not sure I what the settings are, but you should be able to roam on MTN with a telkom card, but you have to load all network bundles onto your telkom SIM card. It should not automatically set itself back though, you will have to be careful, maybe use a prepaid card instead of a straight up contract.

I am using a prepaid 8.ta telkom sim, So what you're saying is that the 8.ta sim will automatically roam to mtn network when the all-network bundle is used on it. It will only roam to mtn signal and the telkom signal won't be there it won't roam to any other network besides mtn. Also will this be permanent once the all-networks bundle is loaded on the sim and how is it loaded on the sim?

Telkom mobile is the new name for 8ta, just FYI.
No it will not automatically roam unless there is no telkom signal available.
You may be able to change a setting on your 3G router to connect to the MTN network instead. = "permanent" until you change it back or it looses connection to the MTN network.
The all networks bundle is loaded the same as a normal bundle, the Link I gave earlier should be sufficient.

I can't give exact instructions since I do not own a 3G dongle/router, but someone else may be able to give more exact instructions or I could maybe find a link if you would mention what 3G dongle/router you have.

What's the setting I coul'd change on the 3g modem to get mtn signal automatically using 8.ta telkom prepaid sim. I use a vf k3765 3g modem and connecting using mdma. If you say there's a setting that coul'd be changed and then roam on mtn signal/network.

Download generic Huawei Mobile Partner dashboard. In settings (somewhere) you can do manual network search, chose MTN and modem will remember things. I had version with USSD and SMS in the filename.

You're not getting what I sayed, I sayed in order to be able to use mtn network on 8.ta prepaid sim all the time, I don't want to unlock, I already use mdma and all the networks connect, It's just if the 8.ta network picks up the mtn signal, it did that once before, now it's not doing that and the connection comparing it with mtn was stable than it,so how do I go about this, for it to pick up mtn signal on mdma?

Similar to a cellphone there should be a "select network" option. It will search for and display all available networks. Choose MTN.

As has been said you will have to load "all network" bundles to connect while on the MTN network.

Yes just change the setting "Network Selection" or something like that to manual and then it will search for networks. Pick the MTN network from the list.

Now it should stay on the MTN network BUT its advisable to have a "all networks" bundle because Telkom Mobile ONLY data bundles like the R149 for 2GB +1GB will not work when you are connecting via the MTN network.
