How to prepare for Black Friday 2018 in South Africa

Jamie's bio should read copywriter not journalist
Isn't that what Administrative Assistants normally do?

But then

Technology Journalist working in the online media industry. Skilled in Microsoft Office, Content Management, Proofreading, Writing, and Editing. Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and English Literature from University of the Witwatersrand.

Seems legit me.

I had a 4tb HDD in my wishlist on takealot for R1625, magically price goes up to R1800 . I'm sure this is black Friday preparations for takealot, up the prices a month in advance and drop it on BF , nobody will notice .

I've been practicing my right hook and have a ski mask. Might take along my expandable batton. If toilet paper is going on sale **** is about to get real.

I'll prepare for Black Friday like I always do: By making sure I don't need to go near any shops on Black Friday itself. Maybe I'll browse a few sites for specials if time allows...

Not falling for the oldest retail trick in the book: Prices surreptitiously increased by 30% and then give people a 15% discount. Woweeee - what a bargain we getting!

So this is what I'm gonna do:
1. Add up and total all the prices for the "specials" / "on sale"
2. Sit back and marvel at how much I saved by not buying a bluddy thing

Now THAT is real savings ;)

Amazon people!! You can actually track previous prices and see savings...

How to prepare:
1. Get help with FOMO and KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES mental illnesses
2. Save your money
3. Use the net after December to find good deals, after having done your research on what things actually cost versus the inflated "specials"
4. Buy, end January / Early February

I forgot how many articles on black friday mybroadband does....

When is takealot's CEO going to come out and claim there will be no outage this year?
Not going to spend a single cent on this retail scam, but I do like to keep track of the annual takealot embarrassment, it has become tradition :D
