My friend just got a red VW fox and we want to put an image of a white fox head on the side. Can we just use spray paint and a stencil?

You can if you want.

Otherwise if you want something cooler, have the fox head digitally printed onto vinyl.
It you want it to last get someone who knows what they're doing to stick it.

That way you wont drop the resale value of the car by painting it.

+1 on the vinyl idea. Just remember to use a good wax after getting the vinyl, since red cars have a tendency to fade and that will leave a darker patch on the paintwork once you decide to remove the vinyl.

You can try any signage company. Printing will be anywhere between R180 and R250 per square meter.

The best thing to use is a fine burnishing compound, then wax.
I would recommend that for any old car. Lotsa work, but it looks like new. Better than that glomail crap.

Use a magnetic advertising board and spray the fox on that, then cut out the head. The board can be removed any time without damage to the paint of the car. Any good sign-writing company should be in a position to give you more advice.

vinyl looks good, just don't get an el cheapo job done. I've done many vinyl design and prints for cars and it can look great.

we charge R120 per meter (but that is for the 600mm variety though, pre-colored vinyl - printed is R290 per sq meter)
