How to save mobile data on Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, and Telkom

While mobile networks are continually improving their coverage and performance, mobile data is still expensive relative to other broadband options.

Reducing data prices has become a high priority for network operators and the government, and ICASA has implemented regulations to reduce out-of-bundle charges.

No, let the stupid use Vodacom and MTN, so the rest of us can have nice speeds on the other networks.

MTN for voice and sms + Afrihost for data is the best combo though. Doesn't even need dual sim - just change APN.

I use Telkom Mobile. Rarely use more than 100 minutes. Free WhatsApp usage + 10 Gb streaming data. I hardly go to Youtube on my iPhone. Most of my friends and family are on iOS so FaceTime is how we all communicate.

Isn't it ironic that Telkom advises the consumer on how to save data, which should be common knowledge, but yet they are clueless as to why their network drains the consumers device battery so quickly. I'd rather use carrier pigeons than anything from Telkom.

They have just not revealed it to the media and my device is fine again.

That is/was something that should never have happened. How thoroughly do they test their systems before trying to turn them into cash cows. Anyway, the damage has been done now.

I truely dont get this i thought these ppl are going to try make ways to limit how our data get used up . Dont tell us about data restriction we know that i have been using this fone for 2years now n i restricted all apps i have on this phone . For me i think 1mb data should cost 10cents or you guys should really deal with the high consumption rate of datas . This 1week or 30 day data thing is really not helping . And why 1gig data for telkom cost R99 mtn R149 vodacom R149 n cell c R159 . I mean it a gig it a same thing but cost more from other networks compared to telkom . This is a daylight robbery You guys dont really appreciate us as ppl who make you rich this so wrong try other ways to make us happy
