How to save your music before Google Play Music shuts down

Can't find transfer for Youtube music.

I moved to Youtube Music when it came out and we were basically told that Google Play Music were going to be stopped. Didn't move my songs over but since I've been using it for so long now I luckily don't have to import anything anymore.

And in comparison to GPM, how is the usability?

I honestly don't give a toss about the videos part, I just want a decent simple music streaming service...
I get the videos stuff from YouTube itself and wouldn't actually want that stuff polluting my music lists.

Yup ... I have been fiddling with YTMusic this morning... dreadful without being able to import my Play Music account playlists, likes etc.

The crap TYMusic is vomiting up for me is abysmal.

Oh well... off to Spotify again.

This really sux.

It's very similar in my opinion.

However, the Youtube stuff does interfere. Youtube Music doesn't understand me at all.

It recommends this:

And if you look at all the music I've listened to it clearly shows that I like my doom and black metal but they keep recommending me all kinds of other crap.

This is exactly my gripe. YTMusic seems intent on pushing just whatever content it deems it needs to promote on me, with no regards to relevance of listening likes, history etc.

Utter rubbish flung at me all the time and nothing I can seem to do to stem this.

Google Play for Android TV was and is utter garbage. Worst interface of any App I've used in 5 years.
 
Yeah I canceled my Google Play Music sub the other day as I'm not using it as much working from home anymore, and I don't think I'll sub again. I despise that YT Music thing.
 
This is why downloading everything while you can tends to be important....
