nzbsa.co.za is one of the best usenet indexers to add to both couch potato and sickbeard, especially if you make use of a server like news.is.co.za or news.saix.net.

I personally make use of only nzbsa.co.za and nzbs.org (this one is closed community, they dont even allow invites).

Thanks mate.
I forgot I had a nzbsa profile.
Working like a charm now.

Does nzbsa allow registrations? Invite only? I've got all this stuff set up but feel there's still too much missed/wanted stuff...

I know :(

All my shows only start up again next year.

Sherlock gives us a nice Christmas present.

BTW, does Sickbeard have to be running in my browser all of the time? If I close my browser am I closing the program?

Nope, closing the browser does not kill Sickbeard/SABnzbd, those run as a service.

Great stuff. Thanks. Another question, is the IS news server decent? As in I can be sure that latest episodes will be there and there's no delays?

I find it decent yeah.

It sometimes gives me more consistent speeds than paid international servers but sometimes not, it's really hit and miss (mostly hit though). I set it up as my backup server, works fine for me.

Delays as in? If the stuff has been DMCA'ed then no getting around that but that's why Sickbeard is there, to grab it as soon as it's available.

Thanks, feo. I might be a proper news server convert. Without this thread I'd have been lost...

If there are any problems then I'll be sure to check them out first. Thanks for that...

Changing over from Newsleecher ...

How do I make Sickbeard download an old episode? I can see in the list but there's no download option.

Set the episode status to "Wanted" and Sickbeard will add it to the backlog and search all providers that support backlog search.

It is Wanted but pink.

That's right. If it finds a match from your listed index providers it will change. It also happens on a schedule (think default it every 60 minutes), you can force a search by going to Manage -> Backlog Overview and then selecting Force backlog on the item.

So I'm having some issues with CouchPotato that perhaps someone can help me out with.

It seems to only be picking up quality settings that are ridiculously huge - 7 to 10GB in size. I have limited the file sizes in the quality settings for 720 and 1080 but it doesn't appear to work all that well, or those are the only releases available. It also downloaded a telesync file when in the quality settings I don't have telesync selected at all.

Now I come from torrents, where 720p releases are about 1.2GB in size, but these releases are all massive.

What is the best way to set it up so that I only download 720p releases that are under 2GB in size? I don't want the DVD releases. I don't want 1080p. I don't want massive files trying to download on my capped 2Mb line.

BTW, these files are being auto-added from my Trakt.tv watchlist...

Choose SD as quality when adding a show, and "set as default" so you don't need to do it next time.

(You do know there is a "next" button when adding a show, right?)

I think you're referring to Sickbeard. My Sickbeard is perfect by the looks of things. I'm talking about CouchPotato though, for movies...

Don't know either as I'm also getting 10gb downloads for most movies.

Also I can't egt Couchpotato to do the post processing on my movies after download. The movies are already in their own folder....is this a problem...? (Eg movies dumped in COMPLETE folder)
