Well, in the end it all runs on software "linux" but yes, appliance base solutions is probably better if you have 5000 users, bit for now, I don't need it, I don't have a 1TB fiber backbone, and 20 000 concurrent connections, well, not bad... I took my 600 limit of, on my proxy, because I freaked out my server due to torrent clients that running on idle..

But I'll dos my proxy later and see how many concurrent connections it can really handle

The best thing u can start with the entry level system and grow from there

D-Boy the thing is if you have the ECNS license then you can file an complaint if you have interference on your network with icasa and they can find that interference and sort it out, and thats how they gonna find you and give you an fine of about R300 000 for operating an illegal WISP...
