How to view my music playlists on Apple TV 4

I have a large number of MP3 music albums on my Macbook Pro.

I would like to import them into my iTunes account and then play them from my Apple TV 4.

Ideally, I would like to access them via the Music app, so that my Macbook does not need to be switched on. When I open the Music app, I don't see my playlists, even though I can see them in iTunes on my Macbook.

The only way I can get my music to play is via the Computer app, with my Macbook logged onto iTunes. Is this the only way to do it?

I've subscribed to iTunes Match and now everything is working perfectly.

Weird that iTunes Match is still an option, I thought Apple Music just overrides that.

It's different and yet the same. Basically the one is your music and royalty free (Music Match) and other is copyright (Apple Music) but they occupy the same library in the cloud.

What's interesting for me is that I'm trying to move to only Apple Music but have realized it's a fools errand.. basically not all albums that u have are in Apple Music. So a lot of albums I'd have in my library are not in Apple Music so u end up paying for both and get a blended library wherein I rarely add non Apple Muisc to my library.

Yeah I know the difference, but was under the impression you can't sign up for Match as a new customer any more.

Not all albums are there, but you can still upload them yourself to iCloud library so apart from the DRM thing there really is no need for Match any more.
