How to watch BBC iPlayer? Unotelly no longer working

So my folks love watching BBC iPlayer in their iPads which we've managed to do using Unotelly. Since yesterday all of a sudden it is giving proxy errors and won't let us watch and we've changed the unotelly region to U.K. as well as SA and even chosen None and nothing is working. Has anyone had any success with other VPN blockers? Which is the best that works with Netflix and iPlayer? I have heard of identity Cloaker, is that any good?

Any advice would be appreciated :)

I'm with getflix and they're also experiencing an outage with iplayer. Unlike unotelly they're working on it.

Have you tried "Beebs" Chrome extension? It works for me

Also make sure you create an account to log on, using a UK post code

No, I will give that a shot. We are trying to watch on the iPad. Do extensions work on the chrome app?

Hi Charis76 - I am also in SA & have the same problem. Unotelly helpdesk just keeps telling me that they have engineers addressing the problem.
Have you found a workaround yet as I too love my BBC iPlayer?

We were able to watch for a week using ZenMate vpn but it's not free. Think you get a weeks free and then it costs about R500 a year but I'm not signing up for a year in advance as I made that mistake with unotelly. Would love to find one that works!!

Getflix was working 2 days afo. And as well as the smart DNS settings, you get a VPN which I'm using this very second to listen to Scottish football on BBC.

I use TorGuard VPN, then I connect to a UK based server. I also use it to watch SkyNews for free

@bwana. Assuming you are using Getflix DNS settings in your router, have you had any problems using Nowtv programming?

I'm in UK and the account is fine, I can watch here, but wife gets login screen only when opening the app and it doesn't accept the details. It worked okay when we last watched on Friday but now I've left SA, it's gone funny and I've no idea why?

So wondering if it could be a Getflix thing?

Getflix is working on their U.K. services at the moment. Not sure if that might be affecting things.

By the way. I was there in July and Tesco and sainsburys had now tv boxes for £14 and it included three months service.

Thanks for the quick response. Hopefully it's a Getflix thing and they sort it out soon. Wife is frantic that she needs to see the next episode of My Kitchen Rules Australia :p

I'll pick up a box for myself actually, been watching on the Air using a code from a workmate who got Nowtv with his internet and doesn't really use it. Time to be 'legal' and that's a bargain.

Looks like it's back up and running, including BBC.

And that £14 special is a huge savings. Make sure you get the Entertainment one though. Some of the boxes are for Sky Movies (2 months vs 3 for Entertainment).
