How well does VC & MTN GPRS live together?

After a second night not being able to connect to the internet via VC - the obvious question is:

How well do the VC and MTN internet access profiles live together on a cell phone?

Is it worth the while to get a MTN starter pack with a few bucks worth of airtime on prepaid? Or will I cause myself just a lot more trouble than I will be solving?

I have a SE K750i (Vodafone branded - but it does not seem to be network locked).

Should not be a problem, All my phones have both providers APN's on them - Internet & MMS. Just make sure the correct one is selected when using the particular sim.

My SonyEricsson V600i Vodafone Branded phone works just fine on MTN GPRS, im not sure if it picks up 3G though. but GPRS is A for OK.

I get mtn 3G on my vlive branded V600i and i Must say MTN is much more stable
