HP 850 G3 Notebook On-board Mobile Broadband

I am running Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS 64-bit on my HP 850 G# Notebook.

I can connect to Vodacom with my Huawei E220 USB modem.

But when I take the sim card and insert in the on-board modem I can't get it to connect. The computer appears to try to connect to Vodacom but no success.

Anyone have any suggestions on this?
