HSDPA and making calls

I am unable to make or receive calls when my Samsung i600 is in HSDPA coverage - even if not in use. Anyone else having this problem? Is it an MTN network problem? See below for a similar problem:

I haven't seen anyone else here mention this problem But I have seen some people complain about not receiving calls when there is an active data connection on 3G. This was a phone specific problem - some phones were unaffected because they supported dual mode UMTS.

You are correct about when a data connection active on HSDPA you wont be able to receive calls. I found out from MTN and its something to do with the network. I normally switch over to 2G mode.
