HSDPA conenction problems

I'm having serious HSDPA connection problems:
Symptoms:
When I click on a link, status bar briefly appears, and link does not load.
If link does load, it loads only partially (if anything!)
Have to "refresh" page about 15 times before the page loads successfully without ceasing to load before it's supposed to.
Chat programs keep losing connection - same bahviour as above.

In Bellville, CT
2 3G bars (used to be 3 before problems started)
Huawei card

Anyone else having these problems?
Is there a solution?
Where to from here? 155 / V3Gpm

please help (or concur so that I know I'm not alone in my greavances)

If you open up a DOS box and do a "ping -t smtp.vodacom.co.za"

what do you get?

Having similar problem in Pretoria, Waterkloof Ridge.

Connection seems to have intermittent high latency????

Pinging smtp.vodacom.co.za [196.11.146.148] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 196.11.146.148: bytes=32 time=107ms TTL=56
Reply from 196.11.146.148: bytes=32 time=3809ms TTL=56
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

Tried to connect GPRS, but the card refuses to switch (Option 3G+)?
i.e.: Stays on flashing BLUE even though GPRS only profile is selected.

9:50 PM - Have now been able to switch to GPRS. Problem seems to be 3G/HSDPA related -
GPRS gets normal response times.
