Any HSDPA Phones available or coming out soon? I'd like to use one as a modem with a MacBook - since it has no PCMCIA or Express slot.

Yes, Samsung ZV50 should be available shortly.

Not the best looking phone, but still smallish ~ flip phone + 2 Megapixel Camera etc.

Should be exclusive to Vodacom.

I would still look at routers rather, especially when not using Windoze. There was a link somewhere today for a HSDPA router (was it an Option router?).

Anyways, will be more reliable.

Of course, carrying a router around in the notebook bag can be a bit annoying... :p

Ok cool.
Not to be picky - but any Nokia's due?

Sure I saw one going into test, trying to find the model number.

I know the 'Samsung SGH ZV50 HSDPA Vlive' is approved.

When will there ever be a LinuxJar [it must have HSDPA], and what happens when iMate runs out of prefixes for "Jar"?...PeanutButterJar? :D

Quite a few Linux builds around for the i-mate phones. (xda-developers might have links)

JasJam will be 3G K-Jam, afaik, not HSDPA.

HSDPA version of JasJar on it's way. Rumour has it for later this year.

No Nokia HSDPA phones yet, my mistake.....

We have endorsed the Samsung SGH ZV50 and are busy testing the BenQ-Siemens EF91 and Samsung SGH Z560.

I plead ignorance, well in that case I need to do some more in-depth iMate research...:)

Nice way to resurrect an old PDA, just like with PC's.

I've got a 6 yeard old iPaq and it runs Linux just fine.

V3G everything I have read about the JasJam so far indicates it will have HSPDA

let's hope they are correct :)

From the link, it looks like it. The previous press release only mentioned 3G.

Will be cool if it's got HSDPA and 802.11g. Plus the CPU is 50% faster at 300Mhz.

Talk-time of 5 hours...?? Let's hope so...

HSDPA version of Jasjar??? Will it be possible to upgrade the software or something. I don't think so because HSDPA is hardware upgrade. I hope I'm wrong.
