Morning guys.

I found this rather funny and thought I'll share it with you.

Yesterday I was playing America's Army online.
In the afternoon my ping went sky high, made playing impossible.

I tried connecting via CSD. This worked fine. Connected @ 57.9 Kbps

Now for the funny part - My ping was better than it could ever be on HSDPA.

So I made the following assumption.

When playing online games CSD would be your best connection locally.
HSDPA is great for Downloads but crappy when it comes to holding a ping.

Uhm, Pitbull, AFAIK CSD is charged at normal voice rates per minute right? Or can you use free minutes for CSD? Still an expensive "solution".

Also, do you perhaps know if the latency of HSDPA will come down when the faster speed is introduced later this year? I have a couple of very curious gaming friends wanting to know.

CSD is charged per minute yes. A nice way to burn your unused free minutes ;)

AFAIK they are currently looking into the latency of the HSDPA. The network Guy aka MTN_DD should be able to confirm that

Hi Pitbull, how do you make your cellphone to use CSD as the internet connection mechanism?

U setup a connection on your phone.

It asks for a dial-up number. PM me your number and your Model/Make of phone and I'll advise
