HTC Desire X review (MyBroadband)

MTN has it for R169 per month, with R100 airtime 25sms's and 75mb data.

It looks like a great mid level phone. I wouldn't mind one myself.

Looks great. I would not mind it at ALL. Due for an upgrade as of today, so this may be an option :)

There isn't Gorilla Glass on here, so might be issues with the screen breaking.

gorilla glass is not shatterproof... its "supposedly" scratch-resistant...

If we want to pedantic yes - but the issue remains about how strong the glass is. Others such as the Xperia lines use what they call mineral glass and Nexus S uses another form of strengthened glass. Desire X on the other hand seems to be have any (though I stand to be corrected)

With so many better options out there, this seems a bit pointless, unless the price is exceptionaly low.

Wonder if this will be availabble on topup315.. Hope so.

My choice is between this phone and the xperia go

However it’s not all sunshine and daisies all the time. In a strange turn of events, we were unable to take screenshots using the usual power+volume down combination. The phone played the sound and made the animation, but then proceeded to display a rather cryptic “Couldn’t capture screenshot” notification. This happened regardless of whether the storage mode was set to internal or external.
@Gerrit
Maybe you should have tried the HTC way of power + homescreen button for screenshots?

This looks so much nicer than the Galaxy S3 Mini. I don't know why it got such a low review score.

Not that much Higher spec than the Standard Htc Desire. Which I am gonna upgrade during this month(which really has a sortage on memory for this day and age's apps).. Was hopeing to see something to get exited about when seeing this article.

Do what I did to my existing Desire:

install CM7 and watch it fly. Also, the Beats audio is over rated as the DSP Manager that comes with CM7 rocks.

Awsome, thanx for the tip. Will have a look into it, once I have the other phone :-D
