Hey all

I know there's been other threads on the HTC Kaiser (TyTn II) but none comparing it to others. I've been rattling my brains trying to decide on them and thought I'd post my thoughts in the hope that others have had similar frustrations.

Eten released the m800 which is almost identical to the Kaiser save for a few differences.

Cons:
You can't tilt the screen.
Only has 64MB RAM

Pros:
VGA screen (640x480)
Bigger battery
Cheaper
Sirf Star III GPS chipset

Anyone else had a look at the m800?
I see Kaiser has different models (Kaiser80, 100 & 120). What are the differences?
Has anyone used the GPS chipset that the Kaiser uses?

I bought the Kaiser (tytn II) two weeks ago and it's the best phone/PDA I ever laid my hands on. I read about the M800 for the first time this morning and I'm glad that I allready bought the kaiser cause I would really have a hard time decide between the two.

My experience with the kaiser so far:

Cons:
It dopesn't support 7,2 mbit, on the other hand 3,6 mbit is enough for most streaming and download situations. Does the M800 support 7,2 mbit?

The Camera gets really slow in the dark because it compensates the lack of light in real time. A small lamp or flash had been better.
If you film in dark envirements it will set the framerate down to about 10-15 fps, bad. The 2 mp camera on the first tytn did a better job in the dark. =(

You need an adapter for your headphones, the USB connection is the only connection there is. I moded the headset that come with the phone with a 3,5 mm jack instead of the crappy headphones. I left the mirophone so that I can recieve calls with my Sennheiser HD200 headphones. Works like a charm with great soundquality. I also got a 3,5 jack on my carstereo so now I can listen to streamed music in my car.

The built in speaker is crap.

Pros:
It support microsdhc (up to 8mb)

The GPS is the fastest gps I ever used. It has a lock as soon the navigation software is up and running. I tried TomTom, iGO and google maps so far. They all worked with the build in GPS.

HTC homescreen (better than most 3rd party software I've used).

It's so solid, the first tytn felt a bit plastic. This doesn't, pure quality.

And everything else, it's all good...
