First thing I thought of was.... how dull and 2016-spec..... High-end phones for 2017 should have 6GB RAM.....

The 821 is the latest Snapdragon processor out there.

The 835 will has only just become commercially available over the past few days.

and yet we will see all the other phones releasing in march running it. the new LG will be running it....

its bad timing to launch a phone before MWC, you need that month to see if what you designed can take the latest CPU.

Bad timing indeed, but still doesn't change the fact that right now there is no better choice.

$750 and you get a 3000mAh battery...that's not very nice.

No 3.5mm jack. As I've said before we shall be seeing more & more flagship devices in the coming months without ze 3.5mm.

The Oneplus 3T should fit that bill:
Snapdragon 821
64/128 GB, 6 GB RAM
16 MP, f/2.0, OIS camera
Fast battery charging

All for approx R8,000

Rather wait for the HTC Vive phone, and no I'm not kidding.
Only if your into games though.
