It really depends what you want your phone to do and how much you're willing to pay, the higher the stats the more it costs (obviously), but you'll be surprised how much more one of their phones cost which has the same stats with 3G/HSDPA than one with EGDE/GPRS.

Check out HTC's site to see all phones they have available, and Leaf's site to see which phones are available locally.

The bigger question here is do you like Windows Mobile 5 and/or 6?

My wife has the HTC Touch and I have the HTC P3600i and we find them excellent - both are WM6. The phone and Pocket PC functions work exceptionaly well.

The P3600i has GPS and HSDPA and both work very well. I'm using the TomTom 6 software.

I paid R3,300 for the Touch, and R5,500 for the P3600i from expansys.com.hk

Forget about I-Mate! Since they split with HTC, they're on a downhill slide. They've been announcing phones but releasing nothing. WE NEED SOMEONE FROM INSYNCMOBILE ON THIS FORUM, IF THEY HAVE THE GUTS!!!

Anyway, a friend of mine got the TytnII from I-Talk for R395 / month on a Procall 120. MTN has it for R415 on the same contract as well. There's no pay-in, but the subscription is about R100 more than the normal rate. Still not bad, I think. It's a brilliant phone.
