I need advice form HTC TyTN owners and Imate Owners.
These two phones look the same and have almost the same specs?
I travel the world frequently, need WIFI, 3G, windows for spreadsheets, speaker phone, conference etc.

I had the Imate before, but the sound quality was bad. Battery power O.K.

Am I looking in the right place or are there any other options that I should explore.

Any advice will be appreciated.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of these phones.

My choice will be the N95 because I use one myself and I have used i-Mate PDA/Phones before.

The i-Mate is not a very good phone in my opinion but the PDA features are good.

The N95, with the right software to edit spreadsheets etc..., will definately be a better all rounder.

The N95 will even help you find your destination when you get lost all over the world.;):D

Thank you so much for your help. It seems to me now to be a toss up between the HTC TyTN and the Nokia N95. The HTC is more PDA than the Nokia. Right?

N95 = Buggy Gadget! < Thats all it is.
Tytn?Jasjam = Exactly the same phone, ideal bussiness phone, jasjam black plastic, Tytn green and silver finish....

my personal opinion is if it doesnt run Windows Mobile it just doesn't make sense. if it doesnt have a touch screen how do you use it ??? if you cant upgrade it with new applications to get extended use out of it then what is the point .... WM platform offers so much more and more and more ... it doesnt stop

These phones are so expensive and you have to keep them for almost two years, so appreciate all the help and advice I can get to make the right decision . I am leaning towards the TyTN as it does look like the better business phone. I see there is a HTC P4550.
Anybody know them?

I agree

The N95 is slow, the software is buggy and unstable.

For flexibility, the N95 simply cannot compete with the MS operating system TyTn

Get the E90. Nothing else at present will do the job better.

I would say go for the TyTN ... you obviously need it for business, so it just makes sense to use a device with "Native" software for the Windows suite of products.

The nice thing with the TyTN is that you can make it as stable/buggy/fast as you wish, by installing different ROMs, depending on your needs. Also, it is highly compatible with software found on later HTC devices, like the Touch and Kaiser.

TyTN purely for Windows Mobile, but also check out the E90.

Never thought of the Nokia E90. Just had a look at the specs. I am quite impressed, but again I heard that the Nokia E range of phones were troublesome.
I was about to go to order my TyTN but I think I will check the E90 out first.
Thanks for the input.

Take a look at the Samsung i600. You may be pleasantly surprised

Not a bad phone really & its not to expensive jst looks hideous imo.

I also prefer WM, but have had no problems whatsoever with S80 on my 9300i

I'm using daily the i-mate Jamin(18 months old) and the new N95. I also carry a GPS bluetooth dongle.

If the Jamin had a better camera (currently, 2MP), higher internet speed (currently GPRS), then I wouldn't be using the N95.

If the N95 had Windows Mobile, then I wouldn't need the i-mate.

Definetely the TyTn... Used the I-mate K-Jam before, these phone are brilliant!! Nothing comes close to these phones, absolutely nothing.. Windows Mobile also much better platform - much more apps and extendibility.

My opnion is that all other 'similiar' phones are for guys that want to look good, these phones are for the real smart guys.

Dude, pls don't let the N95 users convince you any further, what you want is the TyTn, go to your Vodashop and check out both thoroughly, the N95 is way overrated, it shud be compared with the Samsungs and the SE's not the HTC's. :D
