Hiya,

What do I need to do to configure this on my phone? I've created a APN called "internet" and it worked once although it may have been the WIFI capability and now it refuses to connect to internet or send MMS unless I use WIFI? Or is there a thread where this was discussed?

I've called MTN and they told me how to requerst the settings by dialing *132# or something like that but it looks as if those settings aren't compatible with the TYTN?

For MMS, are the settings left at WAP v1.2? And what is the port value you use?

These are my settings. No luck with receiving or sending MMS though. Might mention I have the AKU ROM loaded.

ROM version: 2.05.255.1
ROM date: 01/17/07
Radio version: 1.27.00.00
Protocol version: 32.60.7020.06H
ExtROM version: 2.05.255.101

Start --> Settings --> Connections --> Connections --> Manage existing connections (MMS)

Under the Modem Tab, there is -- Name: MTN SA MMS / Number: myMTN

When I click Edit:

Name of Connection: MTN SA MMS
Select a modem: Cellular Line (GPRS , 3G)

When I click Next:

Access point name: myMTN

When I click Next:

Username: mtnmms
Password: mtnmms

Click Finish then OK.

Under the Advanced tab I click on Select Networks:

Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using: My General Settings

Programs that automatically connect to a prive network should connect using: My General Settings

Back to Today.

Start --> Messaging. At bottom, Menu --> Tools --> Options. Click MMS.

MMS Configuration – Preferences

Following ticked:

- Automatic download in a home & roaming network
- Allow delivery report
- Allow read report

Attempts before giving up: 3
Photo resolution: SXGA (1280x1024)

MMS Configuration – Servers
I click on the listed item MTN MMS
Server Name: MTN MMS
Gateway: 196.11.240.241
Port Number: 9201
Server address: http://mms.mtn.co.za/mms/wapenc
Connect via: MMS
Sending size limitation: 300K
WAP Version: WAP 1.2

I've even downloaded the settings from the Leaf site and they give this:

MMS Configuration – Servers
I click on the listed item Default
Server Name: Default

Port Number: 9201
Server address: http://vxpix.com/servlets/mms
Connect via: My General Settings
Sending size limitation: 100K

Changed this to My General Settings and I can send. Will test receiving shortly.

EDIT: What does the clock looking thing over the envelope mean in the MMS outbox?
