i've done a google search and I can't find anything conclusive so i'm kinda giving up and hoping someone here will know the answer off hand

in my httpd error logs i keep getting the following:
[Fri Aug 11 12:40:35 2006] [error] [client x.x.x.x] File does not exist: /var/www/html/_vti_bin
[Fri Aug 11 12:40:35 2006] [error] [client x.x.x.x] File does not exist: /var/www/html/MSOffice

mostly from the same ip, 5-10 times an hour.. any ideas whats causing it?
(the server is running openwebmail and a few html pages on FC3)

thanks in advance ;)

its likely a bot searching for an exploit and not finding it... ?

can't access that site.. need to register/pay :(

but anyway, managed to trace the ip to one of the users, asked her to play around on her pc a bit.. turns out that everytime she opens internet explorer the error messages appear on the server. She had a "Discussions" toolbar, part of office 2003 i think, and it thought the mail server was a discussion server or something for some reason, but now that the toolbar is closed the error messages are gone!
