I must say I am once again pleasantly surprised by amazing service from iBurst!
I am an IT professional and I have been trying for days now to get my Linux box and or my Linksys Router to connect to iBurst and still be able to access HTTPS sites and MSN Messenger. For the life of me, I tried every firewall setting imaginable.... nothing
...and the moment I connect directly from my Vista machine, it connects perfectly and everything works fine.
as a LAST resort, i thought what the heck, and I phoned the iBurst helpdesk.
Two rings and the call was answered, I explained my situation to the first person that answered, and she immediately told me to set my MTU to 1352 on the Linksys.
She waited online while I did this, and the moment the AP connected again EVERYTHING worked like a charm.
...and yes, maybe this is documented somewhere, but I was too lazy to go read about it.
Either way, thumbs up to iBurst!
As an IT Professional it's not every day you actually get valuable help from a helpdesk.
