I have a Huawei 3G card that is stuck in GPRS mode. (I managed to get it that way by playing with it in a Linksys 3G router, but I don't have access to the router at this stage)

I only have Linux machines, so I cannot use the Windows software.

I googled, but could not find the AT command to set the card to 'prefer UMTS' that works.
THe only reference I found is here (http://www.kuix.de/umts/vodafone/), but the command they mention (at_opsys=3,2) is not accepted by my card.

Does anybody have any idea how to get the card back to prefer UMTS undder Linux?

Thanks
Andre
