I saw this. It seems cheap, because it seems like a half decent handset, to be honest.

I would say it is on par with any snapdragon 615 device. We arent exactly spoilt for choice in South Africa. The Sony M4 aqua is better than the P8 lite but only has 2gb user available memory. I think you have to accept not getting updates as part of the huawei experience. Dont expect any bugs to be fixed on this device but it certainly gives the A3 and A5 a run for their money. Huawei is a decent brand, it is their lack of uodates and support that let them down.

Being in the market for a dual-SIM phone, I'm seriously considering this.

Orange sells the dual sim model. Vodacom blocks dual sim capabilities by using a custom software that prevents you from using a second sim.

Does this apply to the P8 as well? The second tray doesn't seem able to fit a nano sim though :(

Yes, the same applies for the P8.The local networks dont want us to use dual sim phones. I am not sure if cellc software locks dual sim phones cos they openly advertise dual sim handsets.

So first off, I will need to get the correct tray...

Does Huawei include an app to tune the screen colour like Sony does on the E4 and other devices because I've heard the P8 Lite screen colours can look washed out.

No, you dont need to get another sim tray. Sim2 can either be used as a memory card slot or a sim slot. The only way a network can prevent you from using the dual sim feature is via the software. All versions of the P8 and P8 lite have the hardware to be dual sim, networks are blocking this feature via software/the phones firmware.

Has anyone managed to unlock the second SIM on the P8 Lite? The XDA thread on it confused me
