Huawei P9 lite won't pick up network

I have two Huawei P9 lite phones and neither of the two works with Rain Mobile. Any fix for this?

It sounds like it's an issue with the LTE bands.

Can someone confirm which LTE bands Rain uses? I think you would be able to check which bands the P9 Lite supports over at GSMArena:

RAIN LTE appears to work on the LTE band 3 and 38, so it should work.
@Rouxenator Maybe contact RAIN support. There live chat agents are quite quick

Does the Rain Mobile SIM work in other handsets?

They could have flashed their own radio firmware that disables certain bands, perhaps? Just taking a shot in the dark here, as I don't think network operators are allowed to network lock handsets anymore (but I stand to be corrected on this fact)

Single SIM phone, and yeah I had the SIM in my old Acer Zest and it works fine. But whenever I put it in either of the P9 lites it fails to pick up Rain. This is very weird.

When I do a manual search for networks it does not show Rain or 65519 in the network list.

Try and find out which version you have, from what I can see on gsmarena there are 5 versions and 2 out of those don't support any Rain bands.
