Huawei P9 vs Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro phones

Hi all

I need to upgrade my Vodacom contract and do not want to spend more that R300p/m. The contenders currently are the Huawei P9 or the Galaxy J7 Pro, both on the uchoose flexi 150 (R299/pm) as per header. This will be for personal use and not business.

I can't decide on which one to get and it basically comes down to the following:

1. 5.2'' IPS-LCD(P9) vs. 5.5'' sAMOLED
2. gorilla glass(P9) vs. no gorilla glass

Unable to decide between the 2-any other suggestions or advice to push me in the right direction?

@Liebherr The Huawei P9 is actually a good deal but remember that vodacom is trying to get rid of it so check with the branch if they got stock.

If they don't have stock then maybe also consider the P10 lite, much better specs than the J7 Pro and Vodacom have some really nice colours to choose from

P10 Lite is great, like a newer P9. The J7 has amazing battery life though.

I'm not sure if Vodacom will also keep it, if they do it probably will cost the same or less monthly.

Vodacom's new deals coming out next week maybe you should wait 1 more week and see.

Just bought my girlfriend the P9 Lite - very happy with it, seems like a good quality product.

I'm not in a big hurry and will wait for the new specials, doesn't these specials run from the 7th of each month only, so only in 2 weeks time?

Just checked their brochure, this month's deals end next week Sunday and new ones will come out on Monday. But cellucity releases their brochure 2 days early so you will be able to have an idea what deals vodacom will have because they are basically the same.

Called 3 Vodacom shops and none have P9 in stock, only 1shop offered to call around for stock and get back to me this afternoon. Seems the 'Lite'-version will be the way to go if no stock.
